Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area (LGA) in Lagos State, Southwestern Nigeria, experienced peaceful local government elections.
Accreditation began as early as 8:00 AM at Polling Unit 17, Ward A, Unit 23, due to the timely arrival of electoral materials and Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) officials.
However, voting in Ward A, Unit 38, commenced later, around 11:30 AM, due to a delayed arrival of officials and materials.

Voters turnout remained low throughout the day, a factor some observers, including Isah Davike and Kayode Jumor, attributed to insufficient mobilization.
Despite this, Davike and Jumor commended the peaceful conduct of both LASIEC officials and voters, expressing confidence in the fairness of the election results.
They stated, “The way the LASIEC officials and voters have conducted themselves has been impressive. We expect the results to be declared fairly.”

Even in polling units lacking security personnel, a peaceful environment was maintained.
These elections determine the chairmanship, and councillorship positions across Lagos State’s 20 LGAs and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
