Lagos Fish Farmers Elect New Executives

The Lagos State Catfish and Allied Farmers Association (LASCAFAN) has elected a new set of executives to run the affairs of the association for the next two years.

The association disclosed this in a statement signed by its President-elect, Mr Olatoye Fajimi, made available to Newsmen on Thursday in Lagos.

LASCAFAN is a body under the Ministry of Agriculture Lagos State, it is the premier fish farmers association in Lagos state.

The statement said the newly elected executives of the association would take over the baton of leadership in September. The election had a large turnout of leaders and members across the 11 zones of the association.

The statement noted that the election was held on July 29 at the Lagos State Agric Development Authority, LSADA, Oko Oba, Agege, Lagos State.

It added that the newly elected officers of the association would be sworn in at the forthcoming Aquaculture Road Map Conference organised by the association from Sept. 22 to 25, 2025 at the Lagos State University Conference Centre.

According to the statement, the 15-man newly elected officials of the association are representatives of the various zones of the association.

Some of the officials elected are Mr Olatoye Fajimi as President; Mrs Blessing Olugbemi – Vice President 1; Mr Oluwafemi Jehoshua – Vice President 2 and Mrs Elizabeth Apata General Secretary, among others.
