Lagos State government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has partnered with Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited to empower 50 residents by providing them with 1000 noiler birds to boost their income and for enhanced nutrition.

According to the ministry, this partnership offers a sustainable poultry solution to address issues of food insecurity, poverty, and malnutrition through a simple and accessible program.

The Ministry selected individuals from the Lagos State Social Registry as recipients of a success toolbox. A startup box containing twenty five-week-old Noiler birds, 25 kg of Amo Byng Grower Pellet, and a pack of Divert Amin—a specially crafted nutrient blend designed to enhance optimal bird growth and productivity were given to the selected individuals.

This initiative seeks to empower beneficiaries and promote sustainable livelihoods, aligning with the broader mission of poverty alleviation in Lagos State.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Cecilia Bolaji Dada spearheaded a micro-enterprise assistance event, presenting various programs, including the Noiler Empowerment program.

As part of the empowerment program, beneficiaries were equipped with essential skills through training on optimal bird care provided by Olayinka Akorede, Amo Farm’s National Sales Coordinator for Noiler. The Noiler, an innovation by Amo Farm, not only serves as a viable source of income but also plays a vital role in supplying essential animal protein. It is particularly beneficial for children’s immune systems, brain development, and overall health.
