Lagos PDP governorship candidate begins campaign on Wednesday
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Azzez Adediran, popularly called Jandor, has said he will begin his campaign on Wednesday in Alimosho Local Government Area of the state.
He said he and members of his team would tour the 245 wards in the state.
Adediran stated this at a press conference in Lagos on Sunday.
“We will start our governorship campaign on Wednesday, October 19, in Alimosho, and we will be touring the 245 wards in Lagos. The people should see their governor, not the one that is presented to them on the television screen,” he said.
The governorship candidate knocked the state government, saying that the recent 30-year Lagos Development Plan published by the government is not different from the previous development plan prepared 10 years ago.
“What they have in their new 30-year plan ((2022-2052) is to make Lagos a mega city, which was what they had in the plan in the last 10 years,” he said.
He promised residents that he would change the face of governance, create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, and promote the rule of law, equity, inclusiveness, security, transparency and accountability in his first 100 days in office if elected.
He said his government would declare a state of emergency on the education sector in the state, adding that he would recruit more teachers and revamp infrastructures.
