Lagos State Governor calls for peaceful APC primaries
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Governance Advisory Council have appealed to leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the forthcoming primary elections and congress of the party in the state.
Speaking during the Lagos APC stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Acme Road, Ogba, on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu appealed to them to abide by the tenets of the ruling party during the primary elections, as well as the elections of local government, state and national delegates.
On his part, the leader of the GAC, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, charged all party members to work hard for the ruling party to retain Lagos during next year’s elections.
Calling for the election of people with integrity as delegates, Olusi warned against electing saboteurs as party candidates.
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Mudashiru Obasa, urged members to work towards the interest of the APC and that of presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The state chairman of APC, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, advised members to see the election as a contest and not a do-or-die affair.
