The wife of the Lagos state Governor, Mrs. Claudiana Sanwo-Olu has enjoined children to be emissaries of peace wherever they go.

Mrs. Sanwo-Olu who was awarded MAMA NAFEST; stated this at the Lagos state parliament complex where she hosted the participating children from different states at the ongoing National Festival for Arts and Culture (NAFEST). She told them to ’’preach peace wherever they go’’.

“We are training you to be ambassadors of peace unity and commonality”, the wife of the Governor said.

Mrs. Sanwo-Olu reminded the Children that without peace the development of Nigeria will continue to be a mirage and progress elusive.

Mrs. Sanwo-Olu also called Mama NAFEST, equally told the children that the venue for the NAFEST hosting was deliberate to enable the Children to have a taste of Nigeria’s history as they tour around the State Government House.

“The decision to host you here at the Government State House was intentional to give you a sense of history because if you don’t have the sense of where you are coming from, it would be difficult to explain where you are and the future”, she said.

“Way back we had colonial masters ruling Nigeria, we had people like Lord Luggard, who used to live here and take decisions for the whole of Nigeria, which is why I want you to know our history”. She added.

Similarly, the Director-General, of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Mr. Olusegun Runsewe applauded the efforts of Mrs. Sanwo-Olu, who took time off to entertain the Nigerian children.

Mr. Runsewe described the wife of the state Governor as a compassionate woman who had a true love for children.

The children had a series of dance competitions and were each rewarded with tablet devices while those who came first, second and third received laptops each.

The children also went on a tour of the state Government House.
