Lagos State: Nigerian Army, British Military begin workshop on Logistics

The Nigerian Army in conjunction with the British Military Advisory and Training Team (BMATT) has begun the Logistics Estimate Process Seminar and workshop in Lagos State.

The workshop has as its theme “Enhancing Logistics Support in Contemporary Nigerian Army Operations.”

 

Welcoming participants to the event, the Commandant of Nigerian Army College of Logistics, Major General Martin Enendu stressed that the BMATT Logistics Estimate seminar is aimed at bringing home new innovations and ingenuity based on the experience of the British Army in asymmetric warfare.

The Commandant also appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for rejuvenating the collaboration of the college with BMATT and other numerous interventions in ensuring that the Nigerian Army College of Logistics permanent site remains the centre of excellence in Logistics training.

He further noted that The College is to produce Efficient Logisticians capable of planning and executing Logistics Support for the Nigeria Army in joint and combined operations at formations and higher levels, using modern management concept and techniques.

The Commandant further urged the participants to take advantage of the seminar to improve logistics support planning capabilities.
