According to a statement, the President of the African Public Procurement Network, Dr Clever Ruswa, will deliver the keynote address at the 7th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Summit scheduled for July 3 and 4, 2025, in Lagos.

The summit, themed “Driving Impact through Innovation: The Future of Procurement & Supply in Africa,” will gather supply chain professionals, industry leaders, and regulators to explore innovations that could advance procurement practices across the continent.

Ruswa, who also serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe, is expected to present actionable strategies for strengthening procurement governance to promote transparency, sustainability, and competitiveness.

He said the summit presents a “critical stage for elevating procurement standards,” and he will use the platform to highlight how innovation and best practices can “bolster transparency, bring sustainable growth, and unleash Africa’s economic promise.”

The APPN which Ruswa leads, represents public procurement bodies from 46 African countries. The summit organisers noted that under his leadership, the network has been pushing for procurement reforms that align with global standards while addressing Africa’s unique economic realities.
