Lantang South calls for national population census

The people of Lantang South Local Government Area of Plateau State North-central Nigeria have called for National Population Census as the National Population Commission in Nigeria commences the Enumeration Area Demarcation EAD exercise in 95 Local Government Areas in the country.

The District Head of Lantang South Chief Clapperton Durven made the call in his residence at Talgwang in Mabudi when received some Demarcators in his community.

Chief Durven also said that the EAD exercise was a good sign of government commitment to generate accurate data for development across the country.

He added that there were serious challenges of social amenities such as quality healthcare service delivery, good roads, quality water, and electricity supply in his community.

He reiterated that with some of these developments Lantang South will attend to its commercial hub like Shandam and other neighbouring Towns in Plateau State.
