Lawmaker Distributes Support Materials To Flood Victims In Niger State

A member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Joshua Audu Gana has delivered food items worth millions of Naira as a compassion response to flood victims in Lavun, Edati, and Mokwa federal constituencies of Niger state.
The benefiting communities include Muregi, Gbara, Gbajibo, Jebba, and Ja’agi.
While distributing the commodities to the village heads of the communities, Mr. Joshua Gana stated that such efforts are part of his commitment to comforting those in desperate need of assistance.
“I will continue to do this repeatedly for my constituencies of Lavun, Edati, and Mokwa. My representation should not be seen as cosmetic, but rather as one that truly understands the needs of the people,”
“As a representative of the people, the distribution of these food items demonstrates my compassion and commitment to those who need urgent assistance during these challenging times. Thus, providing relief materials to flood victims across the constituency is paramount.”Mr. Gana said.
The lawmaker also noted that local government areas like Lavun, Edati, and Mokwa were severely affected by the rainy season, which caused extensive damage to homes and farmland.
“As a responsive representative of the people, I have no choice but to step in and provide much-needed support to the affected individuals. The relief items distributed include essential food supplies such as rice, maize, tomatoes, spaghetti, groundnut oil, and seasonings,” he said.
He explained that the communities benefiting from this initiative were chosen as part of his humanitarian commitment and insisted on equitable distribution of the items.
In their remarks, the village heads praised Mr. Gana’s proactive leadership and commitment to the welfare of his people, describing him as a genuine representative of the masses.
They prayed for his continued success and outstanding achievements in his political career.
The Assistant Organising Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),in Niger state, Mr. Mohammed Imam, commended Mr. Gana’s efforts, calling him a patriotic leader dedicated to improving the well-being of his constituents.
He described the representative as a proactive leader who is committed to the welfare of his people.
He also recognised Mr. Gana as a genuine representative of the masses and offered prayers for his continued success and greater heights in his political career.
