Lawmaker Embarks On Reconstruction Of 3 Primary Health Centers

The Lawmaker representing Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Dr Kama Nkemkanma has made it a point of duty to provide a quality healthcare to his Constituents.

The Lawmaker has successfully secured the funding of renovation of 3 Primary Health Centers in his Constituency.

Kama disclosed this during the town hall meeting with his Constituents at Osborne La Palm Hotels, Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State

He said, “in renovation of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs): We are glad to report that we’ve successfully secured funding in the 2024 Appropriation, for the reconstruction of 3 Nos Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in our constituency. Work has started in Ukawu PHC and soon work will commence on the other two selected Centres.

“in the area of Free Mega Medical Outreach: I I have Sponsored constituency-wide free medical outreaches in December 2023 in the 11 Communities within the constituency. 444 Health Workers were engaged in this project and over 16,000 beneficiaries recorded”.

“In the course of the period under review, as a way of quick intervention, we’ve sponsored the medical treatments including surgeries of many constituents in various health facilities and have helped in clearing Hospital Bills of many, amounting to over Fifty-Eight Million, Six hundred and Fifty-five Thousand Naira (N58,655,000)”, Kama added.
