The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Neda Imasuen, has unveiled prizes for the district’s Unity Cup at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the Edo State capital, as part of efforts to promote grassroots sports development.
Imasuen said that the Cup was conceived to empower young people and to provide a structured platform for them to showcase their abilities.
The tournament will kick off on November 20, and culminate on December 20, 2025.

The champion will receive a prize of ₦1million, while the runner-up will get ₦700,000.
The third-placed team will receive ₦500,000, and the fourth-placed team will have ₦300,000.
Imasuen said he would ensure international scouts were on the ground to identify talents among the youngsters.
” Our goal is to help them realize their potential and develop their skills to international standards,” he said.
According to the Senator, the tournament is designed to groom young football talents across the seven local governments in the Senatorial district .
