Member representing Nasarawa Central at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hajara Danyaro has urged the religious leaders to continue to pray for the unity, peace, progress, and development of the country and for leaders to succeed.
Danyaro stated this during the distribution of N5,000 cash as palliatives to 100 religious leaders of her constituency, to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
She promised to continue to put smiles on the faces of the people of the constituency.
Danyaro said that the roles of religious leaders in the promotion of peace and unity cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for the gesture.
“This cash ( palliative) is to improve your standard of living and that of your family members as a result of fuel subsidy removal in the country.
“Today, this is the second batch of my palliatives to the people of my constituency among other gestures. In the first batch, I have distributed palliatives to over 400 people of my constituency.
“During my primaries and the general elections, the religious leaders have prayed for my success and today, I have succeeded through their prayers and other people’s support,” she explained.
The lawmaker stated that prayers being offered by the religious leaders have helped and still helping in promoting peace in the country.
Danyaro also assured the Constituency of her continued determination to attract development to the area.
“I will continue to do my best and to ensure that I bring speedy development to Nasarawa Central constituency
“This is to change your lives positively and for the overall development of our Constituency,” she said.
She also promised a continued commitment to protect and fight for the poor, stressing that the committee set up by the House to investigate the alleged diversion of palliatives would ensure that what belong to the poor is given to them.
Danyaro said that she has lobbied for boreholes, schools among other projects to the constituency and promised to bring more.
She further called on the religious leaders and other people of her constituency and the state at large to pray and support President Tinubu, Gov Abdullahi Sule, Ibrahim Abdullahi and Mallam Aliyu Abdullahi, the Chief Imam of Nasarawa Central Mosque, and herself among other leaders to succeed.
Danyaro is the only female legislator in Nasarawa State and Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs.
Also Speaking, Saidu Gude ( SDP-Uke/ Karshi) and Ovey John ( PDP- Keffi East) commended Danyaro for the gesture, saying the initiative would change the lives of the beneficiaries positively.
They called on the people of the constituency to continue to support Danyaro to succeed.
On their parts, Sen. Abubakar Sodangi, the Chairman of the Occasion, represented by his Special Assistant, Mr. Sale Ahmed, Dr. Zainab Ahmed, former SSG in the State, Dikko Mohammed, former Chairman, Keffi LGA, among others commended Danyaro for distributing cash to the religious leaders and prayed God to bless her abundantly.
They called on the religious leaders to continue to preach peace and unity to the people of the constituency and the society at large.
Responding, Rev. Ishola Peter, CAN Chairman, Nasarawa LGA, and Mr. Sulayman Aliyu, an Islamic Scholar appreciated Danyaro for the gesture and prayed God to bless her.
They described Danyaro as a true representative of the Constituency, assuring her of their support to succeed at all times.
In attendance at the event were, Ovey John ( PDP- Keffi East), Hon Saidu Gude ( SDP- Uke/ Karshi, Sen. Abubakar Sodangi represented by his Special Assistant, Mr. Sale Ahmed, Dr. Zainab Ahmed, former SSG, councilors, political class, youths, women among others well-wishers.
The event featured special prayers for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and Mallam Aliyu Abdullahi, the Chief Imam of Nasarawa Central Mosque to succeed.
Meanwhile, Hajara Danyaro has commissioned the modern solar power street lights she installed at Nasarawa Motor park in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Danyaro urged members of the NURTW, NATO, Mechanics among others to jealously guard the solar power street lights in their interest and for the overall development of the constituency.
They promised to safeguard the over 10 solar power street lights installed in the area as the first phase of the project by the female lawmaker.
