Lekan Obiora has made Nigeria proud as he wins his pro boxing debut in London on Saturday.
Lekan holds a degree in a Mechanical Engineering and a prospering career as a Software Test Analyst at Sky.
But in his spare time, he’s been working towards his dream of becoming a professional boxer and was on the verge of getting his license when the global pandemic put his plans on hold.
Lekan was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria before moving to Glasgow, Scotland at the age of 13. He talks candidly about the racism he’s faced and his thoughts on the surge in public support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
