LP relieves Acting National Publicity Secretary; dissolves Ogun State’s Executives

The Labour Party’s (LP) National Working Committee has relieved its acting National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Abayomi Arabambi, of his position, having completed his appointment which was in acting capacity.

The National Working Committee also announced the dissolution of the party’s executives in Ogun state, South-West Nigeria.

 

The National Secretary of Labour Party, Mr. Umar-Farouk Ibrahim said the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has constituted a disciplinary committee to investigate the allegations of anti-party activities by Mr. Arabambi as a member of the party.
Mr. Ibrahim, who issued a statement at the end of the Labour Party’s NWC meeting also said that “the Ogun state chairman and the Exco have been suspended.”
“A Caretaker Executive will be appointed soon to take charge of the party’s activities in Ogun state pending the recommendation of the disciplinary committee to be set up to investigate their activities in office.
“The NWC has unanimously passed a Vote of Confidence on the leadership of the National Chairman, Dr. Barr. Julius Abure, at the NWC meeting held on Friday 9th of December 2022,” he disclosed.
