MACBAN Applauds Anambra LG Election And Newly Elected Chairmen/Deputies

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the South East has lauded the recently held local government election in Anambra State as free and fair. The Association also commended the newly elected local government chairmen and deputies on their inauguration.
In a statement issued in Awka on Friday by Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, the Deputy National Director of MACBAN and Sarkin Fulani in Awka, the Association praised Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for ensuring a conducive environment throughout the electoral process. Siddiki also commended the governor for swiftly inaugurating the elected officials.
The statement urged members of Miyetti Allah in the South East to actively participate in future local government elections in their respective states, emphasizing the importance of community engagement to build trust and strengthen relationships with host communities.
Additionally, MACBAN called on the newly elected local government chairmen to be inclusive of non-indigenes, including members of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, in their governance. The statement underscored the importance of peace and unity among Nigerians for the region’s progress.
As Nigeria marks its 64th Independence anniversary, MACBAN emphasized the necessity of cooperation and harmony in driving community development.
