Malaria Consortium Stakeholders Charged to be Proactive in Nasarawa State

Stakeholders of the Malaria Consortium have been urged to work effectively in the discharge of their duties.
The call was made by the Director of Community and Family Medicine of Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare, Dr. Absolem Madawa, during the end-of-cycle review meeting in Lafia the state capital.
The director dwells on the need for the stakeholders to be proactive in the case of hitches that would cause problems in the course of the implementation.
The State Programme Manager, Hajia Hafsat Musa-Baba, said the aim of the meeting is for stakeholders from both the state and local government to come together and brainstorm on the challenges of the previous cycle, and proffer solutions for the next coming cycle to achieve the targets needed.
“Nobody is been told to defend themselves but should take these LQAS findings as feedback to drive improvement in the coming cycle”,
During the presentation of the previous cycle, the senior M&E officer, Mr. Elisha Zachariah Maleeks said for the successful implementation of cycle two, stakeholders need to take corrective actions especially for all low performing indicators.
Presentations from all the thirteen Local government areas were made, with challenges where proper solutions were made against the next cycle.
Voice of Nigeria reports that Malaria Consortium targeted 929,052 and covered 938,999 (101%) eligible children of 3 months to 59 months for the prevention of malaria during the peak of the rainy season in the state.
