Manchester City reached the UEFA Champions League final after a commanding display in their semi-final second leg encounter against Real Madrid, beating the defending champions 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium, progressing 5-1 on aggregate to set up a mouth-watering finale against Inter Milan.
The first leg finished in a 1-1 stalemate, with both sides looking to battle it out in the second leg in front of a packed stadium for a chance to reach the final.
The hosts started with Erling Haaland in attack, with Bernado Silva and Jack Grealish supporting on the wings. For Real Madrid, Karim Benzema led a front-three with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo on the wings for the defending champions.
City midfielder Bernardo Silva scored twice in the first half as Pep Guardiola’s side dominated Real Madrid.
In the second half, Carlo Ancelotti’s men tried to find a way back into the encounter. However, an own-goal by Real Madrid defender Eder Militao all but sealed the result for Manchester City.
