Equities trading on the Nigerian Syock Exchange closed with gains on Thursday as Market capitalisation rose by N75 billion to close trading at N28,442 trillion relative to N28,367 trillion on Wednesday.
For the third consecutive day this week, the all-share index also rose by 0.27% or 138.26 points to close at 52,235.88 points.
The day’s trading ended with a total of 2.33 million shares worth N17.6 billion traded in 6,958 deals with 26 gainers and 18 losers.
Honeywell Flour led the gainers with 10% gain to close at N3.08k. After it was Cadbury Nigeria with 9.82% gain and a closing price of N12.30k and Neimeth International Pharma with 9.52% and a closing price of N1.38k.
On the losing side, Berger Paints rocked the last spot with a loss of 14.97% to close at N7.10k. It was followed by Nigerian Breweries with 10% loss and a closing price of N32.85k then International Energy Insurance lost 9.49% to close at N1.24k.
Access Holdings recorded the highest volume of 1.23 billion shares for the day and was followed by Transcorp Nigeria with 874 million shares.
