Equities market remained in the bullish at the close of trading on Wednesday being the second trading day of the week and the second to the last for the year.
The market capitalization gained N214 billion or 1.05% to close at N20.660 trillion as against N20.446 trillion on Tuesday, while the All-Share index rose 1.03% or 402.14 basis points to close at 39,512.31 basis points compared with 39.110.17 points on Tuesday.
The gaining streak reflected in the market sentiment as it closed positive with 24 gainers and 19 losers.
Buacement emerged top on the gainers’ list with N6.40k gain to close at N70.40k.It was followed by Intbrew with a 59k gain to close at N6.49k,then Eterna gained 51k to close at N5.61k.
Conversely, Flour mill was top on the losers table with a loss of N1.50k to close at N26.00, while Guineas lost 30k to close at N9.00 followed by UBN which lost 30k to close at N5.30k.
UBA was the toast of investors for the day as it sold 60,569 million units of shares worth N524.73 million.
At the end of the day’s trading, a total of 372.93 million shares valued at N11.50 billion were exchanged in 5,186 deals.
