Market sustains gains by 1.10%

Transactions on the Nigerian equities market ended on a positive note on Tuesday for the second consecutive day sustaining the gains recorded on Monday to close higher by 1.10%

The all  share index gained 1.10% to close at 35,225.22 basis points ,being 381.78 points higher than Monday’s 34,843.44 points.

In the same vein,market capitalisation gained N199 billion to close at N18.410 trillion compared to N18.211 trillion on Monday.

At the end of the day’s trading,a total of 264.24 million shares valued at N2.95 billion exchanged hands in 4,354 deals.

Tuesday’s trading also recorded 28  gainers against 14 losers.

Dangote Cement was top on the gainers chart with a gain of N7.00 to close at N195,then WAPCO recorded a gain of N1.50k to close at N22.50k while Zenith gained 90k to close at N23.60k.

On the other hand, Vanleer led the losers table ,it  lost 90k to close at N8.20k,followed by Redstarex which lost 33k to close at N3.05k,then International Brewery which lost 20k to close at N6.27k.

Access bank dominated activity chart with the highest volume of trade of 36.472 million shares worth N295.34 million followed by FBNH with 33.830 shares valued at N236.64 million.
