The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) has hosted renowned media experts to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on journalism.
The two-day 4th Amplify In-depth Media Conference & Awards was held between December 8 and 9, 2024, exploring the intersection of AI, ethics, and investigative reporting, with a focus on the future of journalism in the digital age.
Adapt to new technologies
Keynote speakers, including Tolu Ogunlesi, Victoria Bamaso, and Jeff Lowenstein, emphasised the need for journalists to adapt to new technologies while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
“The future of journalism hinges on our ability to adapt to new technologies without compromising our core values of credibility and integrity,” said Motunrayo Alaka, Executive Director and CEO of WSCIJ.
