Nigerian media icon Professor Tonnie Iredia gave away his daughter Irene in marriage on Saturday at the Holy Trinity Church in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway) and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, who was in attendance, congratulated the newlywed couple, Irene Iredia and Anthony Ekeopara, on their new journey together.

Dr. Igali described the marriage as a union across ethnic groups among Nigerians and urged the couple, “To remain strong, prayerful, and leave the rest to God.”
Former Governor of Edo State, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, also urged the couple to make their families proud, especially in times of turbulence or challenges.
The couple described their marriage as a divine blessing and pledged to uphold their marital vows.
