Microsoft Unveils AI-Powered Copilot to Boost Productivity

On Friday, Microsoft reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Nigerians and journalists with advanced technology by unveiling Copilot, an AI-powered tool aimed at boosting productivity and fostering innovation.

At a workshop for journalists, the Country Director, Ms. Olatomiwa Williams, explained that Microsoft’s goal is to empower Nigerians to leverage AI for positive change by focusing on accessibility, innovation, and collaboration.

Williams emphasised the transformative potential of AI in shaping the future of work and everyday life, noting its increasing integration into various sectors, from social media algorithms to personalised advertising.

She explained that Copilot, a central element of Microsoft’s AI strategy, is integrated into a range of productivity and business solutions.

According to Williams, the company’s goal is to make this powerful tool accessible to individuals and organisations across Nigeria, enabling them to utilise AI’s capabilities to streamline workflows and achieve greater efficiency.
