The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Iman Suleiman-Ibrahim, has boosted the All Progressives Congress (APC) membership e-registration exercise in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State with the donation of laptops and financial support.
The donation was made during the APC membership e-registration drive held in the Minister’s ward in Keffi. The intervention included brand-new high-speed laptops and a cash donation to strengthen the digitisation process and support the registration team.

Speaking after completing her own e-registration, the Minister described the initiative as a step toward modernising political participation and empowering party members at the grassroots.
“Today is not just about registering as a member of our great party, it is about equipping our people with the tools to participate fully, not just in politics, but in the digital economy. These laptops and this support are investments in your capacity, in your future,” she declared.
She commended the volunteers involved in the exercise, noting that technology-driven engagement is essential for inclusive and effective political organisation.
The Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Dr. Idris Ahmad Damagani, described the collaboration as a model for effective governance.
“This partnership between the federal level and the local government is a blueprint. The laptops are tools for today’s registration and tomorrow’s education. The cash is fuel for our grassroots mobilizers who are the true backbone of our democracy.” he said
Damagani further underscored the importance of alignment across levels of leadership, saying, “When leadership aligns from the federal to the ward level, this is the result: direct, impactful support. We are digitizing our membership and, in doing so, digitising our commitment to our people. This is the model for 2026 and beyond.”
According to party officials, the cash donation has been earmarked for logistics, stipends, and outreach to enhance registration efforts, particularly in remote areas of the local government. The laptops were handed over to the e-registration team to aid faster and more efficient enrolment.
Meanwhile, the APC Chairman in Keffi, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Yakubu, described the gesture as exceptional.
“This is what it means to lead from the front. The Minister hasn’t just given devices; she has given dignity, efficiency, and momentum to our democratic exercise.”

Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim has also extended the laptops donation to to all Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Nasarawa State.
Equipping every LGA with the necessary technological tools reaffirms her dedication to modernizing party operations and promoting inclusive participation in the APC’s growth.
This intervention marks a significant step toward statewide digital transformation and operational excellence in membership registration.
The Minister remains steadfast in her resolve to deepen the APC’s grassroots infrastructure and empower local communities through sustainable and forward-looking development initiatives.
Party supporters reacting applauded the gesture and called for its emulation across the country.
Observers say the Keffi intervention highlights a growing emphasis on technology-driven political participation, positioning digital tools as central to grassroots mobilization and empowerment ahead of future electoral cycles.
