Minister Calls for Prayers and Service to Humanity

Few days to mark the end of the Ramadan fast, a period of sober reflection and rededication to service to humanity, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has called on Nigerians to intensify prayers and service to humanity and nation building, even after Ramadan.

The Minister who made the call during the breaking of fast in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, also said, true dedications should not only be for a period of time but a way of life.

The period of Ramadan is a period of reflection, especially the last ten days. This a period that Muslims all around the world intensify prayers, intensify  supplication to the almighty God and to ask for forgiveness and also re-examine themselves and rededicated themselves to brotherhood, nation building and promotion of unity across the world.”

One big family

“It is a good period for people to reassess themselves and also continue with good conduct after Ramadan. Ramadan should be used as a spring board for people to reexamine their ways and move closer to God and see humanity as one big family.

We just hope that Nigerians all over the world, home and abroad would again reflect on this period and the best lesson as instructed by Prophet Mohammed.”

The Minister further stressed that a nation can only achieve its full potentials when there is oneness, total reliance and faith in God.

As the period that we are facing alot of challenges as a nation , we need to come together, pray and go back to God and the take our religion Very seriously, listen to the voice of the leaders and pray for them.

The President particularly required all of us to pray for him, he is taking very tough  decision  interest of our nation and all of us should r together and raky round him and pray for him and our country and hope that the  prosperity that Nigeria so desire will be here very soon.”

He said Ramadan is a month of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and devotion to God, explaining that the Holy month is an important act of worship that teaches self-discipline, empathy, spiritual awareness which  strengthens family and community ties.
