Minister charges newly appointed executives on diligence, patriotism

Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture and and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa has congratulated the eleven newly appointed Heads of Agencies under the Ministry and charged them to show professionalism in line of duty.

Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, on Friday January 12, announced the appointments to fill in offices of Directors General of agencies under the Ministry.

Mr. Obi Asika is the new Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture while Kannywood Actor and Director, Ali Nuhu, will head the Nigerian Film Corporation as Managing-Director.

Tola Akerele is Director-General, National Theatre, Dr. Shaibu Husseini is the new Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board while Aisha Adamu Augie is the Director-General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture.

Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan is now the Chief Conservator, National War Museum, Ahmed Sodangi is Director-General, National Gallery of Art, Chaliya Shagaya heads the National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies while Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana is the Artistic Director, National Troupe of Nigeria.

Other appointees are Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, Director-General, National Institute for Cultural Orientation, Ali Nuhu, Managing-Director, Nigerian Film Corporation and Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed, Director-General, National Commission for Museums and Monuments.

Musawa applauded President Tinubu, describing the appointments as timely to fulfill the mandate of the ministry.

The Minister charged the newly appointed Heads of Agencies to hit the ground running and discharge their duties with diligence and patriotism to ensure maximum contributions to the Creative Economy
