Minister Charges Super Falcons To Break Jinx In Pretoria
Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has tasked the Super Falcons to defeat Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the second leg of their Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers on Tuesday in Pretoria.
The Super Falcons, who have not qualified for women football event of the Olympics in 16 years, beat Banyana Banyana of South Africa 1-0 in the first leg in Abuja.
Enoh stressed that having missed out on the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games, it was time to reclaim their spot on the international stage. He emphasised the importance of self-belief and resilience in achieving victory on Tuesday.

The minister encouraged the team to soar to new heights and ultimately break the 16-year Olympic jinx with the female national team.
He consequently called on all Nigerians to rally behind the team, stressing the power of unity of purpose in the national assignment ahead.
