Minister Hails Arewa Turn Up 2.0 For Promoting Culture

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris has described the Arewa Turn Up 2.0 concert as a significant platform for engaging Nigerian youths and promoting cultural expression for national development.

The Arewa Turn Up 2.0 concert is a cultural and entertainment event that celebrates the rich heritage, music, and talent of Northern Nigeria. It serves as a platform for youth engagement, showcasing emerging and established artists, and promoting unity through creative expression.

Speaking at the concert, Idris highlighted the economic potential of the creative industry, emphasising that if properly harnessed, it could generate substantial income for both young talents and the nation.

He said; “The Arewa Turn Up reflects the true identity of Nigerian youth, vibrant, peaceful, and joyful- far beyond the negative narratives often portrayed in the media.” 

The Minister, represented by the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Jubrin Baba Ndace, commended “the initiative for uniting young creatives and fostering cultural appreciation.”

The Arewa Turn Up 2.0, organised by Rahama Sadau and Ali Jita, is a cultural and musical event produced by Dee Dee Films and Ali Jita Records in partnership with Transcorp Hilton.

The second edition of the concert featured live performances from Northern Nigerian entertainers, reinforcing the power of the arts in youth engagement and economic growth.
