The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa has praised Centenary City Plc, describing it as a reliable avenue for boosting investment opportunities in Nigeria.

During an inspection tour of the Centenary City project in Abuja, Dangiwa, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, and key ministry officials, expressed his support for the initiative.

As part of his tour, the Minister also visited the Renewed Hope City site in Kasana, Kubwa, and the National Housing site in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Centenary City Plc is a Federal Government legacy project launched to commemorate Nigeria’s centenary in 2014. Designed as a smart city, it aims to attract global investment and position Nigeria as a prime business and development hub.

Dangiwa noted that the project’s vision aligns with the Renewed Hope City agenda, emphasising inclusivity and modern amenities such as sports facilities and medical tourism.

“The Centenary City has a good location, landmass, and a free trade zone to enhance productivity. It is conducive for both national and international investors,” he said.

The Minister also announced plans to invite investors to explore opportunities within the Centenary City project.

Regarding the Kasana Renewed Hope City and National Housing projects in Kubwa and Gwagwalada, Dangiwa urged developers to expedite work to ensure completion by the end of April, in preparation for commissioning on May 29.

He directed that strict timelines be followed to ensure the timely completion of housing units, reinforcing the government’s commitment to providing quality housing for Nigerians.
