The new Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, has assumed duty at the headquarters of the ministry shortly after her swearing-in by President Bola Tinubu.
She arrived at the office at exactly 2:32 pm local time and was received by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo.
After the introduction, a photo session was undertaken with senior staff of the ministry before proceeding to her office.

She was escorted to the Ministry by friends, relatives, and well-wishers as traditional music of the Hausa heritage rented the air.
She was appointed on 23rd October 2024 and confirmed on Thursday last week by the Senate chamber among the Seven new Ministers in a cabinet reshuffle by the president.
Dr. Suwaiba, before her appointment lectures at the Bayero University, Kano State, north-west Nigeria. She was also appointed provost of the Jigawa College of Education before being appointed minister.
She is a trained educationist, gender advocate, and consultant. She has been working in the field of education for 17 years.
