Ministerial Appointment: Group Lauds President Tinubu’s Magnanimity, Unity In Governance

The Conglomerate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth Stakeholders Forum has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for being magnanimous in victory.

The National Chairman of the forum, Mr Okechukwu Norbert said this when he spoke with newsmen at the APC National Secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja.
He thanked the president for moving Abubakar Momoh to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs from the Ministry of Youths, following some reservations expressed by Nigerian youths.
“The ministry of youths should be headed by a youth who can easily relate with the feelings of Nigerian youths.
“As young stakeholders in the party, the ministry of youth, which is our primary constituency is very dear to us.
“It is our desire to have a minister of youths, who is young, friendly with a striking personality, knowledgeable and versatile on issues that concern young people,” the forum’s coordinator said.
President Tinubu during his electioneering campaign promised to involve technocrats, women and young people in his cabinet to ameliorate the country’s challenges.
“Today, we have witnessed those promises kept by his appointment of ministers who are professionals of whom more than 25 per cent are women and less than 10 per cent young people.
“The office of the Minister of Youth, which is our constituency and of great interest to us, needs a great personality who is exposed and can attract foreign endorsement and partnership.”
Evaluate policies

He said that the office needed an individual with new ideas on job creation and youths empowerment, who could formulate, implement, monitor, evaluate policies and programs that would benefit Nigerian youths.
The slot for the Minister of Youths had yet to be filled following the deployment of Momoh to Ministry of Niger Delta.
Norbert said the forum which consisted of great minds, professionals and youth influencers, was therefore endorsing Nicholas Felix, a former APC presidential aspirant for the position because of his antecedents.
He said he was a young refined 42 years old gentleman, youth influencer, outspoken, a role model with academic distinction.
