Adoyi, a music producer and the organizer of the event, shared during a press conference in Kaduna on Sunday that the pageant will take place in Jos, Plateau State, starting on October 19.
He explained that the goal of the pageant is to inspire, empower, and celebrate womanhood, while also promoting gender equality and women’s rights. The theme for this year’s event, ‘Happy Woman’, is designed to support causes that resonate with the contestants, in line with the pageant’s mission of empowering women and creating a positive impact on society.
“We believe that with the right platform, young Nigerian women can influence society, drive positive change, and inspire others,” Adoyi said.
To participate, contestants must demonstrate beauty, passion, intelligence, confidence, and a sense of social responsibility. Adoyi emphasized that holding the Miss Naija title is a role that involves championing causes for the betterment of society.
He also reflected on the success of the 2023 inaugural event, where Nana Firdousi was crowned the winner and awarded a scholarship to study abroad.
For the 2024 contest, Adoyi highlighted that exciting prizes await, including a cash prize of N3 million, endorsement deals, and a car with a driver. He added that the registration fee is N15,000 and assured that winners will be selected through a fair, standardized, and transparent process.
