MNJTF hands over completed projects to Sector 2, Chad
The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has handed over some completed Quick Impact Projects to the communities of Tchougoudoum, Tchamare, and Ketcha in Sector 2 Chad.
The projects include a furnished healthcare facility and the construction of a furnished block of two classrooms, administrative office and technical block with a solar power system at Tchougoudoum.
A statement by the Chief Military Public Information Officer MNJTF N’Djamena, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, said Primary schools at Tchamare and Ketcha also benefited from the construction of a block of 2 classrooms and administrative office each.
The Force Commander, Major General Ibrahim Ali, who was represented by his Deputy, Brigadier General Assoualai Blama, formally presented the projects to the Kaya District Prefect.
He highlighted that these projects were constructed by one of the MNJTF partners, the COGINTA Non-Governmental Organization and funded by the European Union.
During the handover ceremony, the Force Commander urged the local communities to effectively utilize the new facilities to improve healthcare delivery and education in the area.
He also appealed for the support of the locals in stabilizing the region, which has been affected by the Boko Haram crisis.
He further stated that appropriate utilization of the projects will contribute to the overall development and well-being of the community.
In a remark, Maj Gen Mahamat Yousouf Itno, the Commander of Sector 2 MNJTF, expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the projects.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining these facilities for the benefit of the local residents adding that with the support of the community, these projects can serve as a catalyst for growth and progress in the region, providing essential services and infrastructure that will lead to a better quality of life for the people of Tchougoudoum, Tchamare, and Ketcha.
