The Ona of Abaji, HRH Alhaji Adamu Baba has called for more security in FCT to make the federal capital safer for the citizenry.

Baba made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, in his office on Thursday.

The monarch who was accompanied by other FCT traditional rulers said he came to appreciate the CDS in particular and the Armed Forces for their diligence in fighting security in the nation and FCT in particular

Dr Adamu Baba also called on the CDS to do more to make Abuja safer.

He expressed his concern on the increasing rate of criminality, particularly the ‘one chance’ criminals in Abuja while calling on the AFN to curtail the scourge.

The CDS, General Musa while responding thanked the revered traditional rulers for coming.

He added that although security is everybody’s business, there is a need for traditional rulers to sensitise their subjects to “see something and say something” to enable the military to take decisive actions.

General Musa also implores the leaders to take community policing seriously in order to address issues of criminality in FCT.
