The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization in Nigeria has consoled the Emir of Zaria and the Zazzau Emirate Council on the tragic collapse of the historic 150-year-old mosque in Kaduna state.
The Chairman of the foundation, Dahiru Danfulani also paid a compassionate visit to the Emir of Zazzau to express his condolences.
“In times of tragedy like this the foundation stands firm in its commitment to offer support and assistance to those affected.“
He expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives and acknowledged the resilience and unity displayed by the Zazzau Emirate Council in the face of such adversity.
“It is through the collective efforts of individuals and organizations like ours that we can rebuild and heal together said Danfulani.
“The collapse of this historic mosque not only represents a loss for the people of Zaria but also carries a significant cultural impact, The mosque with its rich history spanning over a century was not only a place of worship but also a symbol of heritage and tradition for the community.“
The Foundation called on the Kaduna state government and other stakeholders to take an active role in the restoration of the collapsed mosque.
The collapse of the Zaria Central Mosque led to loss of lives and injuries of some residents, who were observing their prayers in the evening of last Friday.
