Narcotics final screening: NDLEA releases names of cadres

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, has released the list of shortlisted candidates for the final screening of qualified narcotic officers and narcotic assistants cadres.

This is contained in a press statement by the Director Media and Advocacy NDLEA Headquarters Abuja, Femi Babafemi on Saturday.

“The screening exercise, which was suspended in January due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will now proceed in batches in designated centres”, the statement read.

NDLEA Headquarters Abuja
The statement directed candidates within the categories and whose names were listed on the final list as published on the Agency’s website – ww.ndlea.gov.ng to report at NDLEA Headquarters, No 6 Port Harcourt Crescent, off Gimbiya Street, Area 11, Garki, Abuja as follows:

  1. Lawyers – May 17, 2021
  2. Specialised Courses and Languages – May 19, 2021
  3. Special Skill Candidates – May 20, 2021
  4. Doctors – May 21, 2021.

NDLEA Academy JOS Plateau State
The candidates on the general list are to report at the Agency’s Academy, Katon Rikkos, Jos, Plateau State for screening in the order of batches specified below:

  1. BATCH A: Nos 1-242 (May 17, 2021)
  2. BATCH B: Nos 243- 484 (May 18, 2021)
  3. BATCH C: Nos 485-726 (May 19, 2021)
  4. BATCH D: Nos 727-968 (May 20, 2021)
  5. BATCH E: Nos 969-1209 (May 21, 2021)
  6. BATCH F: Nos 1210-1450 (May 22, 2021).

Narcotic Assistant Cadre
Candidates on the Narcotic Assistant cadre should report at the Agency’s Academy, Katon Rikkos, Jos, Plateau State for screening in strict compliance to the order specified below between May 24 and June 8, 2021:

  1. BATCH A: Nos 1-300 (May 24, 2021)
  2. BATCH B: Nos 301-600 (May 25, 2021)
  3. BATCH C: Nos 601-900 (May 26, 2021)
  4. BATCH D: Nos 901-1,200 (May 27, 2021)
  5. BATCH E: Nos 1,201-1,500 (May 28, 2021)
  6. BATCH F: Nos 1,501-1,800 (May 29, 2021)
  7. BATCH G: Nos 1,801-2,100 (May 31, 2021)
  8. BATCH H: Nos 2,101-2,400 (June 1, 2021)
  9. BATCH I: Nos 2,401-2,700 (June 2, 2021)
  10. BATCH J: Nos 2,701-3,000 (June 3, 2021)
  11. BATCH K: Nos 3,001-3,300 (June 4, 2021)
  12. BATCH L: Nos 3,301-3,600 (June 5, 2021)
  13. BATCH M: Nos 3,601-3,900 (June 7, 2021)
  14. BATCH N: Nos 3,901-4,165 (June 8, 2021) respectively.

Conditions
The press statement highlighted conditions to be followed by candidates attending the screening exercise as follows:

  1. Covid-19 non-pharmaceutical protocol.
  2. Arrival at the designated venue on the specified date.
  3. Candidates must present their guarantors form.
  4. Must present original and duplicate copies of their academic credentials.
  5. Birth certificates.
  6. Proof of State of origin.
  7. Certificate of medical fitness from a Government Hospital.
  8. A pair apiece of shorts and round neck white T-Shirts.
  9. Canvas and stockings.

“Any candidate who fails to abide by any of the conditions indicated above would be disqualified instantly”, the statement ended.
