Nasarawa APC Chairman charges newly-appointed Commissioners on transparency
The Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, John Mamman, has charged the newly appointed commissioners in the state to ensure transparency while carrying out their duties.
Governor Abdullahi Sule had last week Inaugurated 14 Commissioner-nominees, who were recently screened and confirmed by the State House of Assembly.
Speaking on Sule’s 62nd birthday anniversary in Lafia on Sunday, Mamman said that the commissioners were carefully selected from across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state because the governor wanted the best hands as members of the state executive council.
He said, “In a bid to ensure that residents of the state enjoy the dividends of democracy, Governor Sule carefully selected the best hands from the 13 LGAs as commissioners. This is a clear indication that the governor has confidence in them. So, I am urging them not to disappoint him.
“As they resume duties at their respective ministries, they should ensure transparency and accountability because as the governor has always said, public service is public trust, so they should not disappoint the people of Nasarawa state.”
The APC chairman extolled Sule for his achievements in human capital and infrastructural development of the state.
He described Sule as an astute politician who brought his many years experience in private sector engagement to public service” and prayed to God to continue to grant him good health and wisdom to sustain his good work for the people.
