Dr Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to enacting robust health legislation to enhance the well-being of the state’s residents.
Speaking on Friday, in Lafia, while hosting officials of the state’s Association of Resident Doctors, Jatau pledged effective collaboration and support to address health challenges in Nasarawa.
He commended the association for its efforts in improving the state’s health outcomes and praised Governor Abdullahi Sule for prioritising health and other key sectors.
“We want to appreciate you for uniting members and for your purposeful leadership,” Jatau said, echoing the association’s sentiments about his leadership.

Jatau called for continued support for both his leadership and Governor Sule’s administration to ensure their success.
He also donated N500,000 to support the association’s development initiatives.
Dr Jude Isha-Yekpowudu, President of the Association of Resident Doctors, explained that the visit aimed to express solidarity with the speaker and acknowledge his commendable leadership.
He appealed for financial assistance to enable the association to conduct medical outreach programmes in the state.
