Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has urged the newly inaugurated National Executives of the Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) Worldwide to promote peace and unity in the state.
Governor Sule made the call during the swearing-in ceremony of the ECDA executives at the palace of Aren Eggon, Nassarawa Eggon LGA.
He stressed that his administration remains committed to fostering unity and development across the state.

“I want to congratulate the President of ECDA, Mandy David Abuluya, and other executive members on their well-deserved victory at the polls. I want to congratulate Abuluya for the good work he is doing,” the Governor said.
He commended Aren Eggon, Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku (Rtd), and other traditional rulers for their role in maintaining peace in the Eggon nation. “If there is peace in Eggon nation, there is peace in the state,” he stated.
Governor Sule further pledged to donate a vehicle and construct a perimeter fence at Eggon Community Secondary School and also contributed 150 bags of rice for distribution to less privileged persons to celebrate Christmas.

Galadiman Eggon and chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Isiyaku Abdullahi commended the electoral committee for conducting a free, fair and transparent election.
He urged ECDA officials to collaborate closely with traditional rulers and stakeholders to strengthen unity, peace and development in Eggon Nation.
Keynote speaker, Professor Evelyn Allu-Kangtum of the University of Jos, addressing the theme “Building on the Foundation: Unity, Legacy and Strategic Development for a Greater Eggon Nation,” called for unity among Eggon people and stressed that ECDA must remain the umbrella for all Eggon citizens.
Responding, ECDA President, Mandy David Abuluya, thanked delegates for his re-election and highlighted achievements from his first tenure.
He noted that Eggon Community Secondary School’s enrollment has grown from 13 to over 650 students, WAEC and NECO examinations have been restored, ten classrooms renovated, and academic activities reinstated with dignity.
Abuluya pledged to continue the school’s development by completing a perimeter fence, science laboratories, and the examination hall. He said economic empowerment and human capital development would also receive renewed focus.
“I appeal to stakeholders to assist the association with a vehicle to ease transportation challenges, enable us to reach all Eggon communities, preach peace effectively and discharge our responsibilities without hindrance. Support the completion of the Digital Secretariat among others,” Abuluya said.
Other officials inaugurated include Mohammed Arigbadu (Vice President), Umar Abdullahi Galle (General Secretary), Barnabas John Anvah (Assistant General Secretary), Gyabo Danladi Sulaiman (PRO), Dogara A Edzi (Treasurer), Emmanuel Edro Akwanga (Financial Secretary), Abaine Samuel Abains (Auditor), Danladi Umbugadu Audu (Provost Marshall), and Haruna John Adigidizi (Social and Cultural Officer).
