Nasarawa: Police Disburses 29.6 Million to Families of Fallen Heroes

The Nigeria Police Force has disbursed the sum of twenty‐nine million, six hundred and sixty‐three thousand, five hundred and three naira, and twenty-four kobo (N29,663,503.24) to seven families of police operatives who lost their lives in active service or sustained injuries while performing their duties.

Presenting, the cheques to the seven families on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, appreciates the IGP for the gesture.

In a statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, Anipr, and issued to journalists in the state.

CP Shetima expressed heartfelt sympathy for the beneficiaries and lauded the Inspector-General for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service. 

He further encouraged the recipients to invest the funds in profitable ventures that will secure the future of their families.

“This initiative, undertaken by the Inspector-General of Police Group Personal Accident, Group Life Assurance, and IGP Family Welfare Program, is designed to enhance the living standards of families who have suffered loss or injury as a consequence of service in the line of duty.”

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Daniel Mathew conveyed his gratitude for the generous gesture and pledged to make judicious use of the funds.
