Nasarawa Speaker advocates quality education for Younger Generation

Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Balarabe Abdullahi has harped on more support and encouragement for the younger generation to pursue western education with all seriousness to get to its peak for the growth of humanity, poverty reduction, innovations and the overall development of the society.

 

 

The Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi made the call at a reception organized by Ebira community in honour of Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Federal University Lafia, Professor Alhassan Usman, at Lafia.

The Speaker, who spoke through his Chief of staff, Mr. Suleiman Aboki  underscored the significant role of western education in societal development and called on his people to continue to support the younger ones to pursue western education  and get to its peak.

The Speaker, who represented Umaisha/Ugya constituency at the state assembly the same area with the celebrant congratulated him for the fit so far achieved in life and wished him more success in his future endeavours.

Speaking , the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lafia, Professor Shehu Abdulraman who is also from Umaisha and leader of the organizers felicitated with the celebrant, saying the attainment of professorship in life career is worth celebrating considering its benefit to humanity and advised him to ensure that he impacted more in the society with his position.

“Use your professorship to worship God, served humanity and recognize excellence, as a professor, you are an asset to your people, the state, nation and the outside world, use your position to encourage the younger ones.

” I wish you well ,I am happy today that we have four confirmed professors in Umaisha aside two that are already on their way to join the league,” he said .

Goodwill massages were delivered at the occasion by Registrar and libarian of the Federal University Lafia and the traditional ruler of Ebira people in Lafia, the Ohi-Egbira Lafia among other personalities just as professor Josephine Odey, Dean faculty of Education, Federal University Lafia presented a paper at the event.

The celebrant 52 years old and Professor of plant Genetics and Breeding who is the Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Federal University Lafia, Professor Alhassan Usman a native  of Umaisha in Toto L.G appreciated his people for celebrating him and promised to consolidate on the achievement and services to humanity .
