The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation has said that the report of the 2022 budget before the committee is now ready for presentation to the larger House, tomorrow Tuesday, 21st December 2021.
The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Aliyu Dogara, stated this during a meeting with the management of the State Ministry of Finance and the State Accountant General at the assembly complex in Lafia, the state’s capital.
He said that the committee has received reports from various House standing committees and all the necessary observations and adjustments have been made and the report is ready for presentation at the larger House.
This he said after the presentation members will deliberate on it at the larger House before passage which he said will be done before the Christmas recess.
He, however, called on the government to ensure that it improves on budget releases to enhance full Implementation by MDAs for the people of the state to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The Chairman re-assured the people of the assembly’s commitment to passing laws and resolutions that will be in their best interest.
It was gathered that members of the finance committee were seen putting finishing touches on the final budget.
