The Nasarawa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has welcomed the Appeal Court decision which reversed the judgment of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

A statement signed by the APC
State Publicity Secretary, Otaru Douglas, said the earlier nullification of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s mandate was surreptitiously impugned at the lower court headed by the Hon Justice Ezekiel Ajaiyi’s Governorship Election Petition Tribunal panel.

He therefore wishes to congratulate His Excellency, Abdullahi Sule and the entire APC Family on the well-deserved victory at the Appellate Court.

This triumph has again, validated and reaffirmed the overwhelming support our Party and its candidate has continued to receive from the majority of the people of the state which hitherto translated to our victory during the March 18 Governorship Election

“This judgement which is a reflection of APC’s popular acceptability can best be described as a big win for democracy and victory for the good people of Nasarawa State”.

“The victory has further rekindled the hope of the common Man which was almost dashed by the uncertainties which pervaded the political atmosphere and the needles distractions it has caused the APC/Sule led Administration”, the statement read.

It says,” this resounding victory at the Appeal Court is a testament to the trust and confidence the citizens of the state have in the APC-led Administration and the unwavering commitment of the Governor to the progress and development of our dear state.

The statement further urged the APC supporters to celebrate with all sense of responsibility and call on the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP and its candidate, Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu to put aside all differences and rally behind the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to move the state forward, and ensure a peaceful state for all.

“It is imperative at this trying moment of our national life that we unite as a state, transcend beyond political and ethnic affiliations, and harness our collective strength and resources for the betterment of our dear state”, the statement added.
