Nasarawa State frontline health workers take COVID-19 vaccine

Nasarawa State front-line health workers have been vaccinated with the first batch of the OxFord AztraZeneca vaccines that have arrived in the state.

A total of 61 thousand doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been reviewed by the State in the current effort to vaccinate the state against the virus.

This was made known by the state Deputy Governor Dr Emmanuel Akabe, who is also the Chairman of the Taskforce on COVID-19 while inspecting the doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccines that arrived in Lafia the State Capital.

He explained that the state government would ensure equitable distribution of the vaccines to all the local government Areas of the state preparatory to the commencement of vaccination all through the 13 local government areas.

He expressed delight in the safe arrival of the vaccines in the State.

He further thanked President Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, and the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency for allocating the vaccines to the state.
