Nasarawa State Government says it will soon conduct a transparent local government election across the thirteen local government areas of the state.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor Abdullahi Sule on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba stated this while interactive with journalists in lafia the state capital.
Mr. Peter Ahemba said the state Independent Electoral Commission NASIEC would roll out the preparation for the conduct of the poll as tenure of current council chairmen will elapsed next week.
According to him, the state electoral umpire would provide a level playing ground to all the participating political parties for free, fair and credible election.
The Senior Special Assistant maintained that, the issue of new national minimum wage, the state government will look at the new template of federal government to do justice to the state civil servants as promised by the Governor.
He said, Governor Abdullahi Sule has fulfilled his promised to the state workers on the implementation of promotion and payment of their arrears which have been commence last month.
On the security matters, Mr. Peter Ahemba explained that, the state government is working round the clock to ensure the protection of lives and properties of the citizens in the state.
“Since the inception of the current administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, various developmental project which includes roads, hospitals, schools, agriculture, human capital development among many other people oriented projects were executed,” he said.
He also appealed to the people of the state to continue to cooperate with the government and pray for socio-economic development of the state.
