The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has rejoiced with Christians in Nasarawa State and the country at large on the occasion of the 2021 Easter celebration.
Governor Sule expressed appreciation to God for the gift of life and the opportunity of another celebration as well as for the relative peace in the state.
He said, “The period of Easter is one for deeper reflection and a time for all to rededicate to the service of God and love to humanity.”
He, therefore, urged all “Christians in the state not to lose sight of the reason for the celebration, and to strive to emulate the virtues of Christ.”
Governor Sule also called for peaceful coexistence between Christians and people of other faiths, insisting “It is the fundamental ingredient for our collective growth and development as a state and a nation.”
He urged residents to comply with the Covid 19 safety protocols while reiterating his government’s resolve to deploy every resource necessary to the security of lives and property.
Governor Abdullahi Sule wishes all the good people of Nasarawa state a peaceful and rewarding Easter celebration.
In the same vein, the Senator representing Nasarawa South senatorial zone, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has felicitated with Christians as they celebrate Easter.
Senator Al-makura, who is the immediate past governor of Nasarawa State, urged Christians to use the festive occasion to pray for unity, peace, and prosperity of the state and the country at large.
Al-Makura, who is also the Senate Committee Chairman on Solid Minerals, Mines, Steel Development, and Metallurgy, advised all citizens to learn from the pain, joy, love, and care which characterized the period of Lent and the Easter celebration.
“The lesson of Jesus death and resurrection as explained in the Holy Bible is a demonstration of love and selflessness and as a beneficiary of his undying love, we most extend same to our fellow humans.”
”We need to be passionate and always make meaningful contributions towards positive development and progress of our dear state and the country at large.”
The Senator urged all citizens to pray for President Buhari, who is on a medical trip abroad, and Governor Abdullahi Sule, to succeed in his administration.
