Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested fifty suspects with different crimes in the state.
Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State, CP Adesina Soyemi stated this while parading the suspects at the Police Command Headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
CP Soyemi expressed optimism to work on the solid foundation that had been laid, and to improve on its operation in order to make the state safer and most intolerable to criminal elements.
Suspects arrested were: twelve (12) kidnappers, twenty-two(22) Homicides, eleven (11) cultists, and five (5) other sundry offenses.
Similarly, two (2) live ammunition and two (2) firearms were recovered.
The CP said that; “the security of lives and properties of every law-abiding citizen is its topmost priority and will not shirk away from this responsibility”.
“The good people of the State should be more supportive of the Police in the discharge of our statutory duty, by availing us credible information that will help to proactively neutralize or deal with matters of security in the State”,
He however warned strongly, all criminal elements in the State who may be nursing agendas that are inimical to the security of the State, to desist from such acts as the Police in the State, will not relent in mobilizing all resources at its disposal to frontally confront and render their operations fruitless.
