Nasarawa state speaker advises butchers on meat hygienic

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Danladi Jatau, has urged butchers to slaughter healthy animals for human consumption to safeguard the health of the people in the state.

The speaker made the call on Tuesday during the five-year anniversary of Sarkin Pawa (Leader of Butchers) Lafia, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim in Lafia.

Jatau congratulated Sarkin Pawa on his five years anniversary and wished him a peaceful and successful reign.

“I want to congratulate you on your five years anniversary as Sarkin Pawa Lafia.

“I wish you happiness, good and sound health as you pilot the affairs of butchers in the state.

“I want to use this medium to call on butchers to ensure that only healthy animals are slaughtered,” he said.

The speaker used the medium to call on the people of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.

“Let’s all continue to pray for the state and the country at large,” he added.

Responding, Sarkin Pawa Lafia, Ibrahim appreciated the speaker and his entourage for identifying with him over his five-year celebration as the leader of the butchers in Lafia Local Government Area.
