Nasarawa Traders Pledge Total Support for Governor Sule’s Appeal Move
By Amina Mohammed, Lafia.
Nasarawa state traders and entrepreneurs have pledged their support to Governor Abdullahi Sule, as concerns grow on the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal verdict in Nasarawa State.
More organisations have joined forces in announcing their total rejection of the judgment recently delivered by the Justice E. Ajayi-led tribunal, as they declared support for Governor Abdullahi Sule.
This time was the Nasarawa State Traders and Marketers Association, Association of Young Entrepreneurs in Nasarawa State, North Central Women for Entrepreneurial Development (Nasarawa State Chapter), and the Alliance of Business and Investment Consultants in Nigeria (Nasarawa State Wing) under the auspices of Forum of Business Administrators.
In a statement signed by the co-leaders, Titus Musa, Muhammad Babangida, Doris Adeleye and Farida Hassan, and led by the President of the Nasarawa State Traders and Marketers Association, Musa Turaki-Gamji, said the Forum rejects the verdict in its entirety as it does not portray “the true reflection of the will of Nasarawa people who had significantly voted for Governor Sule in the March 18 general election”.
Turaki-Gamji said members of the union were saddened by the outcome of the tribunal and would not fold their arms to see the state in disarray.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the upper courts to give room for fairness and justice to thrive, believing that Governor Abdullahi Sule would steer the affairs of the state till 2027.
Developmental strides
He said their intervention as an organisation was to further complement other well-meaning individuals and organisations’ efforts in the task of ensuring that Governor Sule succeeds in the leadership of the state to complete his massively developmental strides in infrastructure, business, and investment.
Turaki-Gamji pointed out that under the Sule-led administration, the state has witnessed a great boost in socio-economic investment, maintaining that the Nasarawa State Traders and Marketers Association among others has been fully impacted in changing the narrative of the state.
The statement urged the appeal court to meticulously adjudicate the matter by giving the people of the state what they desired through the right medium.
It assured Governor Abdullahi Sule of their loyalty and cooperation to make Nasarawa State a more advanced and competitive economy through their various endeavors.
Voice of Nigeria recalls that the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal had delivered a judgment on the March 18 gubernatorial election in the state in favor of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, David Ombugadu, which was rejected by the APC, Governor Sule, and others, vowing to appeal the judgment.
